Whats out there
There are so many places that you could visit we will give you a few just for starters but
in all our cottages you will find brochures on the area and also if you go on the links on the local info you will find much
much more.
A must whilst visiting for the young who like adventure and also the oldies that enjoy feeling
like a kid at heart. The Cream 'O' Galloway; this is a real fun filled day that makes you want
to go back again and again. It offers a tea and rest area where you can taste the delightful ice creams of many flavours.
The ice cream is packed full of flavour and cream mmmm. There is an adventure play area for the young and old with a
zip line, tower, rope bridge, mountain bike area, and nature watch area, this really is a must.
The Red Kite Feeding Station at Laurieston this is where you can go and see
these amazing birds in the wild and see how they soar at great heights and then dive through the air to collect their
food. This is breath taking and you sometimes are within meters of the birds. There is a small fee for adults
and children are free. The money taken goes towards the care of the birds and the R.S.P.B.
The 7Stanes Scotlands Biking Haven- For those of you
out there that like to keep fit and be outdoors on two wheels for the young and the old this is an amazing way of seeing
the beautiful countryside and woodlands. There are different areas to go riding through Glentrool, Kirroughtree, Dalbeatie,
Mabie, Ae, Glentress & Innerleithen and Newcastleton all of which make up the 7stanes.
